Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. Pryor FUMC members are involved in a variety of ministries.and use their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Music Ministry

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of Pryor FUMC, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Litergists

We would like to have members of the congregation become more personally involved in worship by acting as liturgists. This involves reading announcements, the Call to Worship and possibly other (early) parts of one of the services. After you are done, you can to return to your seat. Everyone is encouraged to participate! If you are concerned about pronunciations or anything else having to do with the reading, you may contact the pastor who would be happy to help.

Ushers

The usher team at Pryor FUMC fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

Media & Technology

In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use media tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes.  We need people to create and work the screens for our services as well as people to run the sound. Also, we maintain active website for additional church communication and can always use new ideas/

Children’s Church

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, Pryor FUMC holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s church volunteers have an endless stream of creativity–ranging from puppet shows, to games, to object lessons.

Kitchen Ministry

A number of activities at Pryor FUMC is supported by volunteers in the kitchen.  Preparing food for the WELL after school program, funerals, vacation bible school, youth activities and the Holiday Cafe are just a few examples.  If you can cook, help with setting up and taking down tables, do dishes or eat a meal and fellowship, then your help would be greatly appreciated.
