Kris Mayberry is the lead pastor of Pryor First United Methodist Church. She grew up in Okmulgee, OK, and is a member of the Muscogee-Creek Nation. She graduated from Oklahoma State University and the United Methodist Course of Study and is currently pursuing her Master of Christian Ministry through Saint Paul School of Theology. Kris is the chairperson of the Oklahoma Conference childhood poverty initiative, Let's Do This Oklahoma. She also serves on the UMC's Global Board of Higher Education Ministry's Native American Scholarship Committee.
Colin McCartney is our new Director of Youth & Children Ministries. He enjoys attending sporting events, choir concerts, and theater shows to support the children and youth.
He is involved in the Design Team for camps, Youth Force, and enjoys helping to plan mission trips. Colin has a heart for missions; whether it is local or international. In 2011 and 2012 he went to Guatemala on a mission trip and is looking forward to being able to go again one day.
Colin grew up in Edmond, OK and graduated from Edmond Memorial High School in 2010. After that he went to Rose State college for his associate's degree. He then graduated from Oklahoma City University with a degree in Sociology.
Colin met his wife Kirsten in 2017 at St. Marks UMC in Bethany. They were married in November 2019. They have two boys; Max, 11 years old & Miles, 9 years old. As a family, they enjoy attending the boys sporting events, watching movies, traveling, and finding new adventures. Family is important to the McCartney’s. Colin & Kirsten, also love pouring into their ministries together and work well as a team. Colin appreciates the support from the FUMC church family towards his family.
Lori came to Pryor UMC as Administrative Assistant in 2022. She has been a lifelong Pryor resident, having graduated from Pryor High School in 1989. Lori has two adult daughters who both got married in 2023, 4 months and 1 day apart. (WHEW!!!) lol. Both girls and their spouses reside in Pryor. Lori enjoys camping and fishing but her most favorite thing to do is spend time with her children.
